Hearing/induction loop systems have been installed at airports in central Europe, the Far East, Australia, and the United States. In Canada, however, implementing this technology has been a slow process.

For family members and guests with hearing loss, social gatherings can be stressful. They can also cause anxiety or animosity for people who are Deaf. If you are hosting a festive gathering this year, you can make the experience more inclusive by being creative and thinking ahead.
It can be difficult to know exactly what to buy and whether it will work. Shopping online gets tricky when you are choosing assistive equipment from a wide selection. DHA offers free demonstrations of any of the eStore items either in-person (by appointment) at the Calgary office or in an online video session. Closed Captioning and ASL Interpreters are available by request.
