Refund policy

Our return policy allows for returns within 30 days of receiving your item.

The return period will start from the day the order is delivered to the customer. The tracking number allows us to see when shipments are received.  This is the right of ownership and it transfers to the customer once they purchase the item and it is delivered to the shipping address.

Deaf & Hear Alberta does NOT accept returns of personal use items such as face masks, pillow speakers, headphones/headsets, earbuds, hearing protection, or bed shakers. 

If on the 30th day after receiving your item, you decide you no longer want to keep the item, please email or call us to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. 

If we are contacted within 30 days of receiving the delivery, and you meet the criteria for a return, we can exchange or refund the order.

We ask that the order be returned to our office in Calgary within the next two weeks.  Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

To meet the requirements for return, the item must be in its original packaging and in the same condition in which it was received, unworn and unused. Please include a copy of the receipt or proof of purchase with the returned item so we can match the shipment to the order.

To start a return, please contact Deaf & Hear Alberta via email at equipment@deafandhearalberta.ca or by phone at 1-866-471-2805 ext. 215 to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. If the return meets our criteria, we will provide instructions on how and where to send the package.

Please note that items returned to us without an RMA number will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item. We can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable item

Certain items cannot be returned to comply with good hygiene practices. Deaf & Hear Alberta does NOT accept returns of personal use items such as face masks, pillow speakers, headphones/headsets, earbuds, hearing protection, or bed shakers.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your returned item and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded by the original payment method. Please remember it can take time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
