The Roger X is a miniature universal Roger Receiver that is compatible with virtually every hearing aid and cochlear implant speech processor on the market. This is how the wireless signal from the Phonak Roger microphones is received by the hearing aid or cochlear implant processor. 

It functions when connected to a hearing aid, an audio shoe, or streamer. See photos for examples of integration with other hearing aid brands such as Advanced Bionics, Cochlear, MED-EL, Oticon, and Starkey.
